Dr. Rajendra Kapila, a professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School has died of COVID-19. You might say, "Okay, he passed away. So? Persons are dying from this deadly virus across the world."

Well, the significance of his death is that he was fully vaccinated from the SARS-COV-2 aka COVID-19. Professor Kapila visited India in April (where he is originally from) with his wife, who happens to be a microbiologist working at a COVID-19 lab in New Jersey. The couple felt that going back they could help take care of their family in a country where a devastating upsurge of the virus has impacted so many lives.

It is possible that after taking the Pfizer shots, the professor felt he was protected against the virus, but somehow, though fully vaccinated, Kapila tested positive for the coronavirus and later died.

According to an article by the Hindustan Times he tested positive on the 8 of April and by the 28 of that same month he passed away.

Dr Kapila was an expert who worked extensively on HIV-AIDS and was also able to train several of his colleagues in the field. He practised at the Rutgers University for 50 years.

He  returned to India with wife Dr Deepti Saxena-Kapila in the last week of March and stayed in Ghaziabad. He was supposed to fly back to US by the second week of April when he got infected with the disease and had to be admitted to Delhi’s Shanti Mukund Hospital where he died. He was 81 years old. He was said to have also suffered from diabetes and heart disease.

He wife confirmed that he was indeed inoculated with the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine. In a statement she revealed, "It is ironic that we came to India for two weeks and he contracted it here," since she always strove to keep their New Jersey home environment sterile from the virus.

In a statement, Rutgers called Kapila "a genuine giant in the field of infectious diseases” who was “recognized worldwide and sought out for his legendary knowledge and extraordinary clinical acumen."

For the Pfizer vaccine, 43,000 persons were in their trial group, four of their participants who received the vaccine suffered from this side effect.

COVID-19 VACCINES: The vaccines may cause "magnetic reactions": Fact or Conspiracy theory?

"No sah! Nutt'n cyaa guh suh!"  I said to myself, even as I listened.
