High possibility

Speaking at the virtual 2021 Davos World Economic Forum in January, Albert Bourla, Pfizer's CEO noted there was a "high possibility" that current coronavirus vaccines would not be effective against new strains of the virus in the future.

He was one of four speakers at a panel discussing the need for collaboration between businesses and governments to combat future threats to human health. 

"It's a very high likelihood that one day that will happen," Bourla said.

Richard Terrell, 74, of Goochland began suffering strange symptoms four days after receiving the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, news station WRIC reported.

Antibodies getting ready to attack a Covid-19 cell

According to scientists, persons who have recovered from Covid-19 and their bodies make antibodies, may enjoy immunity from the virus for up to six (6) months or more. Research was done by two (2) scientific research groups in the US which show this may be possible.

The results of the research may be a good sign for the new vaccines' potential effectiveness, since they work by provoking the recipient's immune system to make antibodies.

Covid yuh mash up we life! 

Covid has taken over so many aspects of our daily lives. It's determining where we work (from home or in office), or if we work at all (large numbers of persons have lost their jobs worldwide). Covid has cut into our recreational time: we can barely go out to get a bite to eat at our favorite restaurant, watch a movie or just go clubbing. Now Covid wants to invade a most sacred, private, intimate and wonderful activity most humans love to engage in —sex!

Minister of National Security, Dr. Horace Chang in January 2021, admitted that his government is partially to blame, as well as previous administrations over the years, for keeping inner-city residents immobilized in poverty.

His admission came after Managing Director of the Jamaica Social Investment (JSIF) Omar Sweeney and his social development manager, Mona Sue-Ho, made their presentations during the sitting of the Joint Select Committee on ‘Law Reform (Zones of Special Operations) (Special Security and Community Development Measures) Act, 2017’ in Gordon House.
